SEA Recruitment Services Ltd is based in Altrincham and covers the North West and parts of the South East of England. Our aim is to expand across the whole of the UK.
Suzanne Robinson and Hayley Thornton, the two directors set SEA up in 2009. They want to improve access for deaf and hard of hearing people.
We are a forward thinking, modern service that constantly improves services based on client feedback and involvement.
We are a team of over 100+ staff (permanent and bank staff). Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we always have an on call manager who can deal with any urgent situations. Our services are segregated into two departments.
Agency
Our agency department are proud to have worked with a number of deaf and mainstream organisations to ensure that they have staff with the right skills and qualifications. We are able to supply Support Workers, Personal Assistants, Social Workers, Sign Language Interpreters, Classroom Assistants, Health Care Professionals and Communication Support Workers.
We can provide staff to residential care homes, supported living services schools, colleges and hospitals. These are only examples, so if you have any staff requirements please do not hesitate to contact us.
Care Services
Our Care Department provides domiciliary care, outreach services, children’s services and communicator guides. We work with clients who need support all of the time and those that only need a few hours a day or each week. We have staff that can sleep in or stay awake all night.
Our philosophy is to encourage clients to maintain or develop new skills to enable them to live as independently as possible. SEA clients have a range of additional needs such as learning disability, autism mental health needs, complex health needs, visual impairments, physical disabilities, dementia and complex communication needs.
Staff are assigned to clients based on:
- Gender
- Ethnicity
- Signing and communication skills
- Age
- Hobbies and interests
We ensure that we match the right staff to the clients. Furthermore, we ensure clients can have a say in the choice of staff who support them.
